David Ryan

Previously, as head of Intel Corporationโs Health & Life Sciences global business unit, Dave createdย double-digit business growth, sponsored a dozen strategic equity investments, and spun out twoย remote healthcare ventures. He recruited and led an award winning, company-wide coalition ofย domain experts aligned to the quest for customer-centric success. His team pioneered theย companyโs novel global Health industry response to the pandemic, and he predicted early on thatย telehealth would โsave healthcareโ and called on industry to โsave telehealthโ beyond the pandemic.
Dave is an outspoken advocate worldwide on the transformative power of telehealth, AI and theย unexpected opportunities in an aging world. He has served on the boards of Consumer Technologyย Association Health & Fitness Division, HIMSSโ Personal Connected Health Alliance, the Globalย Coalition on Aging, the Alliance for Connected Care and the American Chamber of Commerce Chinaย Health Cooperative. In addition to presence at numerous industry forums, Dave is an influentialย speaker in policy realms including the United Nations, OECD, APEC, G-20, USA Capitol Hill, Milken,ย IFA, IAGG, WSIS events and ministerial meetings across Asia & the EU. His call for a โNew Socialย Contractโ across ages was first published in the AARP International Journal.
Dave holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University, an M.B.A. from Pennsylvaniaย State University, and is a Wharton Fellow. He is a board member and former Chair for a worldwideย non-profit dedicated to improving infant care ( www.RIE.org), and President of the Board ofย Governors of a veteranโs historical preservation organization ( www.ECSAA.org).
Shane Walker
Director of Medical Technology Research at Vamstar
Shane is senior director for Vamstarโs healthcare market research portfolio, which provides a unique perspective on the healthcare ecosystem by incorporating traditional business analysis with the latest data collection techniques and Vamstarโs novel, AI-based, procurement insight. Shane has 17 years of experience conducting industry research, business analysis, and strategy developmentโmost of which has been focused on medical technology. Shane has worked with a wide range of clients including large end-equipment and semiconductor manufacturers, software developers, and start-ups, and he is actively engaged in the investigation of technology being developed to improve care outcomes. Prior to joining Vamstar, Shane was a research director and principal analyst with IHS Markit and Omdia. He received his BA from the University of West Florida and MBA from St. Edwardโs University in Austin Texas. Shane is based in Los Angeles, California.
Praful Mehta
CEO and Co-founder of Vamstar
Praful Mehta is the co-founder and CEO of Vamstar. He has more than 16 years of experience inย helping pharmaceutical and medical device companies create effective commercialisation strategiesย across different therapeutic areas. Mr. Mehta has been a longtime advisor to senior teams onย the issues of market access strategies, sourcing and procurement, launch planning, landscapeย assessments, market competitiveness, and lifecycle planning. He has significant project experienceย in working with the BRIC-MT and EU-5 nations, as well as the United States and Japan. Mr. Mehtaย has been interviewed and quoted in various journals, print media, blogs and leadership forums withinย the industry. Prior to working at Vamstar, Mr. Mehta was a Senior Principal at IHS Markit, where heย developed the companyโs core market access, pricing and reimbursement, and forecasting capabilityย for different healthcare markets. Mr. Mehta also led various project teams at GlaxoSmithKlineย Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson.
